Parents are invited to attend a college planning information session sponsored by the Lauralton Hall Guidance Department on Thursday March 1st at 7 p.m. in the school dining hall. This is an informal evening which will be full of information designed to assist you in guiding your child through the college application process, including “finding the right fit,” college visits, standardized testing and an introduction to Naviance.

At Lauralton Hall we encourage all of our students to take the ACT, in addition to the SAT.  In order to help our students prepare and be aware of the different testing opportunities, the Guidance Department is offering students the chance to take the ACT’s practice test, the PLAN, on Saturday March 10 at 9am. The PLAN will offer a practice opportunity and insight into the content of the ACT. The test is broken down into four parts: English, Math, Reading and Science, and is administered over a two hour time period. Students who take the PLAN will receive a detailed score report similar to what they received for the PSAT. For more information regarding the PLAN or the ACT, please consult www.actstudent.org. Students should arrive at Lauralton on March 10th no later than 9 a.m. and bring two #2 pencils, a calculator and either $20 in cash or a check made out to Lauralton Hall.
